Cortex has embarked on an audacious mission: to bring artificial intelligence to marketing.
Fundamentally, we’re attacking the established way of doing things. We’re trying to change a world where software has always been a tool to be used. A tool that remained inert until the user logged in and poured their time, effort, and execution into the tool to create value. We’re forging a world where software becomes an active, intelligent participant in the team, regardless who the user is and what the user is spending his or her time on.
Our mission involves changing opinions, attacking established ideas, and challenging big industry players. Our mission is big, and will be difficult. But through that difficulty, the mission offers a significant opportunity for its adherents.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man." George Bernard Shaw, "Maxims for Revolutionists" (1903)
“We are not reasonable men” is boldly stated on the brushed metal artwork hanging above the desks at Cortex HQ. This phrase is a persistent reminder that the product you’re building is not being asked for, because the client doesn’t even know to desire it. Yet.
“We are not reasonable men” warns that when joining the Cortex Mission in progress, you must remain unreasonable.
In the earliest days of Cortex, we realized we realized that in order to change the way things have always been done, we needed a team that could think the way others don’t and believe where others only question. A team that could be and would be, unreasonable.
That is why, we’re extremely proud to finally share our list of investors and advisors who participated in our recent seed round. These men and women are exactly those intrepid minds who see the world for what it can be, not what it has been. Who drag the rest of society kicking and screaming into a future filled with possibility.
These are exactly the people you want on your side when embarking on a mission such as ours:
