Welcome to Cortex, a business software-as-a-service solution (the “Service”) operated by Cortex Automation Inc. (“Cortex”). Your use of the Service is governed by our Terms of Service. This policy describes how we collect, use, store and share information about users gathered through the Service.
Your access to the Service is conditioned upon your legal authority to contract on behalf of a company that is a Service subscriber, and this policy applies equally to information regarding your company gathered through the Service.
The Service gathers technical information about you when you use it, such as IP Address, browser type, and other similar metrics. The Service also requires use of and collects a login and password to access the reports it provides to persons who have represented that they are authorized to access the Facebook pages and other online and social media properties of a brand or company. The Service also incorporates data gathered from third parties that is publicly displayed. This information is collectively referred to below as “Service Information.”
Service information may be collected about a user or about the company that has subscribed to the Service.
DoubleClick: We use Google Analytics remarketing codes to log when users view specific pages or take specific actions on a website. This allows us to provide targeted advertising in the future. If you do not wish to receive this type of advertising from us in the future you can opt out using the DoubleClick opt-out page or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Cortex uses Service Information to administer the Service, generate customized reports using the Service, and to create customized displays for users of the Service. We also use Service Information in conjunction with other information to generate reports of the Service contents for your company.
Data gathered and generated by the Service is stored on public cloud servers which Cortex has engaged from a third party service provider. Cortex cannot guarantee the security of any Internet transmission or any information stored on such public servers, though we take reasonable measure to protect personal information in our possession.
Cortex will not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties except as follows:

We may use independent contractors, such as cloud service providers, to provide services on our behalf and they may access Service Information in the course of providing those services.
- Safety, Security and Compliance with Law – We may disclose any information, including Service Information, we deem necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, to enforce our rights or to protect the safety and security of our Service or other users.
- Business Transactions – In the event we undergo a business transition, such as a major investment transaction, merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, we may transfer your Service Information to the actual or intended successor organization in such transaction or permit its examination under confidentiality restrictions by our counterparty.
